 Ocean Freight from Asia to Canada - Peak Season Surcharge
 Adjustment Announced

(Toronto, August 24, 2011)...Effective immediately, member carriers of the Canada Transpacific Stabilization Agreement (CTSA) have announced a revision to the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for containerized cargo shipping from Asia to Canada (East and West coast) that was originally implemented August 15, 2011.

The revised Peak Season Surcharge will be applied during the following timeframes for shipments arriving from Asia, including the Indian-Sub-Continent, to All Canadian Destinations:

For cargo loaded on board Aug 15th to 17th:

  USD $7.00/CBM (1 cbm = 600 kgs)
  USD $320.00 per 20' container
  USD $400.00 per 40' container
  USD $450.00 per 40'HC container
  USD $506.00 per 45' container

For cargo loaded on board Aug 18th to 31st:

  USD $4.00/CBM (1 cbm = 600 kgs)
  USD $160.00 per 20' container
  USD $200.00 per 40' container
  USD $225.00 per 40'HC container
  USD $253.00 per 45' container
