| U.S. west coast
port update |
|
(Toronto, July 4, 2002)
Normal operations will continue
at U.S. west coast ports until at least July 8, 5:00 p.m.,
when the contract between the International Longshore and
Warehouse Union and terminal operators will expire.
If there is a strike or lockout, the Port
of Vancouver is expected to receive diverted U.S. cargo.
However, the Port of Vancouver has indicated that freight
for current customers will take priority over diverted cargo.
For more information, please call
(905-882-4880) Paul Glionna, Vice President Operations.
