Toronto Terminals Continues |

(Toronto, September 27, 2002)…
The blockade of rail/container terminals
by owner operators (truck carriers) in Toronto has intensified.
As of this morning, all of the main rail terminals in Toronto
have been targeted, resulting in the ceasing of operations.
This action has resulted in serious disruptions to the
flow of container traffic in Toronto. It is expected that
the closures will also cause severe congestion problems
at the terminals, which will further hamper the flow of
cargo.
