(Vancouver, April 26, 2004)… Striking
tug boat workers at the Port of Vancouver have agreed to
accept a federal mediator's contract proposal. The
agreement ends a strike that had shut down Deltaport, the
largest
of three Port of Vancouver container terminals, and seriously
hampered operations at Fraser Surrey Docks outside Vancouver.
Terminals at Vancouver's Inner Harbor were not affected
by the strike.
