| CN Rail - Potential Strike (Update) |
|
(Toronto, January 28, 2005)
The Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) has yet to render its decision on whether specific rail services should be maintained in Canada in the event of strikes or lockouts involving three of the company's unions.
A decision is expected in early February. Until that time, any right to strike or lockout has been suspended.
CN is continuing to bargain with the United Transportation Union (UTU), the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
