(Toronto, August 8, 2011)… Many vessels are starting to avoid Mumbai Nhava Sheva Port as operations are being disrupted by crane replacement and labor problems. In many cases vessels are being forced to sail after partial discharging/loading. The terminal has closed it gates to exports because of the increased yard inventory, and import deliveries are also being delayed. It is unknown at this time when operations will return to normal.
