(Toronto, August 24, 2011)… The protest by truck carriers at the Port of Chennai, India was called off last night (August 23). Cargo movements have resumed, however it will take some time to clear the backlog of cargo both inside and outside the port premises. Priority is being given to the evacuation of import containers from the port to clear space at the terminal.
