Flooding disrupts freight shipping in Thailand

(Toronto, October 27, 2011)… Shipment of freight to and from major ports in Thailand is being disrupted by significant flooding problems that are not expected to diminish until the end of this month.

The problem is that many factories have been flooded or have been cut off by flooding and hence can't ship products to Thailand's ports.  The flooding began in the north of the country and is expected to reach the country's most southerly major city (Bangkok) in the next few days.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely and advise accordingly.
