Canada and Ukraine sign Free Trade Agreement

Toronto, July 20, 2016

The Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) was signed, July 11, 2016, by the respective Prime Ministers of Canada and the Ukraine.

The agreement is expected to promote trade and create jobs in both countries. Canada is also interested in supporting the Ukraine’s efforts to build a stable, democratic and prosperous country.

Legislative approval is required in both countries to ratify and implement CUFTA.
