U.S. to impose 10% tariffs on $300 billion of China imports

Toronto, August2, 2019

In a series of tweets yesterday, President Donald Trump said the U.S. will impose a 10%tariff on the remaining $300billion worth of imports from China, known as

list four,

beginning September1st.

“Trade talks are continuing, and during the talks the U.S. will start, on September 1st, putting a small additional Tariff of 10% on the remaining 300Billion Dollars of goods and products coming from China into our Country. This does not include the 250 Billion Dollars already Tariffed at 25 per cent,” Trumptweeted.

The United States Trade Representative (USTR) has not yet issued a Federal Register Notice.

Trump said the negotiations between the two nations will continue, however, China has vowed to retaliate if the additional tariffs areimplemented.
