Ongoing strike - Port of Montreal - Cast and Racine Terminals - Universal Logistics Trade Alerts - September 22, 2025

Toronto, September 22, 2025

The 31 administrative agents (CUPE 4317) of Montreal Gateway Terminals Inc. began an indefinite general strike this morning at 5:00, affecting Cast and Racine Terminals.  Terminal management has implemented mitigation measures.  With the exception of some schedule adjustments, operations are continuing as normal – this work stoppage does not affect the Port’s other terminals.
